Xiaomi Mi6, the successor to the Xiaomi Mi5 smartphone, is expected in the first half of 2017, with reports earlier this week suggesting that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be launched in either February or April. However, new reports now say that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be unveiled on February 6 with sales starting in March.
Xiaomi Mi 6 will host the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset which is being installed in Samsung Galaxy S8 too. Earlier, there were rumors that Samsung is not able to manufacture the 835 Snapdragon chipset for Qualcomm which could be hindrance for its own Galaxy S8 lineup, however, a Chinese website, Weibo, has confirmed that the issue not too big as portrayed which means Mi 6 will get its share of Snapdragon 835 chipsets before its sales starts.
Xiaomi Mi6 is expected to rock a huge 6 GB of RAM and Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The optics pair 16 MP and 4 MP cameras. It is reported that the device gets a lot of improvements. It will be able to record 4K video and faster multi-tasking with the beast hardware on board, according to GizOK.
You'll get to see a phone which leaked back in October. Back then, we thought this is the rumored Xiaomi Mi 5S, which is still possible, but it's also possible we're looking at the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6 here. The display on this phone seems to be curved, and based on the hand that holds it, the device's display is 5.5-inches or smaller. The home button is also included here, and the phone resembles both the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and Xiaomi Mi MIX. So, this could be the Xiaomi Mi 6, but we're only guessing, of course, we cannot be sure of it. One thing is for sure, though, we'll see a ton of Xiaomi Mi 6 rumors and leaks in the coming weeks, as the company will probably introduce the Xiaomi Mi 6 in February during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, as they did with its predecessor last year.
