There have been plenty of rumors circulating as of late that Xiaomi is working on the successor to the Mi5 with the Xiaomi Mi6, and thanks to a new report from GizOK, it would appear that Xiaomi will be releasing the Mi 6 in three distinct versions.
The first will be with Helio X30 and will cost CNY1,999 (or about $290), the second device will sport the mighty Snapdragon 835 and will be priced at CNY2499 (approx. $360). The third option will also come with Qualcomm's latest chipset but will have dual-edge curved display (akin to Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge) and is going to go for CNY2999/$434.
These two variants of Mi6 are expected to be dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi 6 and the Xiaomi Mi6 Pro. The Mi 6 is said to feature an LCD display, while the Mi 6 Pro will come with a curved OLED display, similar to Samsung's Galaxy S7 edge. Also, differentiating the two variants, the Mi 6 is said to come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage and the Mi 6 Pro with 6GB of RAM and 256GB onboard storage.
If the previous info is to be believed, the Xiaomi Mi6 Pro will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, Qualcomm's flagship SoC which was introduced during CES 2017. The 3,000mAh battery is also expected to be a part of the Xiaomi Mi 6 package, and Android Nougat will come pre-installed, quite probably with MIUI 8 on top, as MIUI 9 is nowhere close to being released at the moment.
