There are a lot of expectations from Xiaomi Mi6 as it is rumored to be the first smartphone to be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset. It is expected to launch ahead of HTC 11, LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8 that are also expected to be powered by the same chipset.

It is also being reported that Xiaomi has begun mass production of the Mi 6 smartphone. One of the Mi 6 variants alleged to have entered mass production will feature an LCD display, and the other is said to feature an OLED curved display. As for the pricing, the Xiaomi Mi 6 with LCD display is said to be priced at RMB 1,999 (Rs 19,700 approximately) and the OLED version could be priced at RMB 2,499 (Rs 24,700 approximately).

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to feature 6 GB of RAM and is also pegged to come in two storage options of 128 GB and 256 GB. It is rumored to feature a 16-megapixel rear shooter enabled with features like 4K video shooting and dual LED flash.

It is also speculated to come loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat MUI 9 OS. The Home button on the device is expected to house a fingerprint scanner and is also rumored to feature USB Type-C port. A 3,000 mAh battery will be powered the Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone.

Xiaomi Mobile has been rumored to launch the Mi6 in three processor variants, and have been dubbed the Mi 6S, Mi 6E and the Mi 6P. The Xiaomi Mi 6S is said to come with the Snapdragon 835 chipset, the Mi 6E either with a MediaTek Helio chipset or Samsung’s Exynos chipset, while the Mi 6P is speculated to be powered by the company’s own Pinecone chipset. Even though we are nearing a possible launch, there is still no confirmation on the processors being used.
