Xiaomi Mobile is holding a media event in India on March 20 where the company is likely to launch its affordable Redmi 4A and the Redmi 4X phones. While the Redmi 4 will be a phone that replaces the Redmi 3S in the company's line-up, the Redmi 4A could be Xiaomi's first sub-Rs 5,000 phone in India.
We have no official confirmation yet, but the Xiaomi Redmi 4A has been spotted online in a new dark gray finish. Back in November last year, the handset originally came out in Gold and Rose Gold versions, so this is a refreshing alternative. Plus, the new shade also comes with a black front bezel - a first for the model.
The Redmi 4A has a 5 inch IPS LCD screen with a display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The device ships with the Android Marshmallow OS, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset with a Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and an Adreno 308 GPU. There is a 2GB RAM card, and 16 GB of onboard memory with a memory card slot for expanding the capacity. The primary camera images in a 13 MP resolution, and there is a 5 MP selfie shooter on the front. The non removable battery has a capacity of 3120 mAh, and the device has support for dual SIM cards.
Lastly, the Xiaomi Redmi 4X sports a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, supports 4G VoLTE, and packs a 4100mAh battery. All the four smartphones run on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
In just forty five days after launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, the company claims to have sold over ten lakh devices. Xiaomi flagship mobile phone Xiaomi Mi6 will be delayed in India.
