Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi6 is rumoured to arrive this year and a certain source claims that it will be unveiled on 16 April. The source also claims that the handset will feature a ceramic body along with a 5.2-inch LCD display with a 2.5D curved glass.
Xiaomi, on the other hand, tries to combine the best of both world. Dubbed as ‘China’s Apple’ the company’s Mi4 offered a nice device for users not wanting to get caught up in the flagship smartphone race. the Mi5 on the other hand went relatively unnoticed. Now, the company’s been very busy the past couple of months. It entered the smartphone processor market as well, Xiaomi Mi 5C with the Xiaomi Surge S1. The processor is a modest piece of silicon, manufactured on 28nm HPC+. It features two sets of four Cortex A53 cores, clocked at 2.2GHz and 1.4GHz.
As for the specs, the Mi6 is expected to be the first Chinese smartphone which features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Previous rumors had suggested that Xiaomi would be under-clocking the processor on the Mi 6, but that has seemingly been debunked. We are also looking to see a display measuring in at 5.2-inches, along with a ceramic body and an extremely high-quality camera. Finally, the rumor suggests that pricing will begin at about $290 for the base model Mi 6, Xiaomi Mi6 Pro with the 6GB/128GB variant with a ceramic body will be priced at $365.
