Xiaomi is clearly already working on the Xiaomi Mi6, the true successor for the Mi 5 from this year. The Mi 6 should be unveiled at some point in early 2017. When exactly that will happen is still a mystery, and the latest rumors from China aren't helping clear it.

The Mi6 has been in news for a while now, with the last leak about it being the smartphone coming in three processor variants. The same leakster @XiaomiDevice who revealed this poster, had also revealed that the Mi 6 will be launched in three variants dubbed Xiaomi Mi 6S, Xiaomi Mi 6E, and Xiaomi Mi 6P, based on the type of processors they house.

On the other hand, a couple of different Weibo leaksters are saying that the Mi6 will only be revealed in April. This perceived delay is apparently all because Samsung can't make the Snapdragon 835 in enough quantities sooner (Samsung is producing Qualcomm's next chipset). Samsung's low production capacity for the SD835 will also affect its own Galaxy S8, which will use the chip in some markets, though it's unclear how - perhaps we'll see a limited supply of SD835-powered S8s at first.

Xiaomi Mi6 Pro coming with a 2.5D curved display, a physical home button that is likely to double up as a fingerprint sensor, and a dual tone design with a metal back. The Mi 6 is also expected to come with Quick Charge 4.0, which is claimed to be capable of offering up to five hours of usage or more with just five minutes of charging.
