A year ago the Xiaomi Mi5 came out as one of the most beautiful, most powerful and most capable smartphones we have tested. To try and build on that its successor Xiaomi Mi6 will have a few different versions, aiming to cater to a much wider audience.
The new report suggests that the cheapest version of the Xiaomi Mi6 will come equipped with a Helio X30 processor and feature a price tag of CNY 1,999 (around $290 USD), and that the model up from that will boast Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor and have a higher price of CNY 2,499 (about $360). The third and most expensive version of the Mi6 is expected to cost CNY 2,999 ($434 USD), and in addition to the Snapdragon 835 CPU, it will also supposedly feature a curved display similar to what we saw with the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.
There have also been reports about the smartphone’s speculated camera unit, which quite expectedly would be a dual-camera setup. However, previously, it was rumored that the Mi 6 would sport a 16-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording capabilities and dual-tone LED flash. Up front, the smartphone was said to house a 4-megapixel selfie camera.
The device’s production has not been concluded if the source is to be believed, which is why we probably won’t see it released in February. Xiaomi Mi6 Pro phone could arrive in March, though, as the company’s VP hinted.
