Xiaomi has been busy launching smartphones in the affordable category, while preparing for its most anticipated product this year — the Xiaomi Mi6. Touted to be Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone, the Mi 6 has been quite frequent on the rumor mill with the expectations high after what the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and Xiaomi Mi MIX brought to the table. The biggest confusion on the Mi 6 so far has been the processor it will use. Initial rumors began with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835.

While that disclosure has not got an official confirmation yet, several rumors have been continuously pouring in telling the same. Even the latest rumor hints at the presence of a Snapdragon 821-powered version. In addition, it says the Xiaomi Mi6 is indeed going to feature a Snapdragon 835 chipset. However, according to latest rumor the launch is likely to be in May due to shortage in stock of Snapdragon 835 chipset.

The rumored three variants of the Mi6 would vary in terms of memory as well. The base variant is expected to come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage and the mid-variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The high-end variant Xiaomi Mi6 Plus is expected to come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage and feature a ceramic body.

The Xiaomi Mi6 Pro is one of the most awaited smartphones of 2017. Undoubtedly, the Note 3 and Redmi Note 4 have been very well received among the people, but now all the focus has been on the successor of the well-known Mi5.
