Dear Mi Fans,Before we start to explain the Full Netcom, there's one thing need to be clarified because Full Netcom we will talk about is an implementation from China. There are three mobile communications operators in China. So far, the biggest is the China Mobile, the second is the China Union and the third is China Telecom. Full Netcom mean the mobile phone need to be able to support all of the three company's networks.

On the 24th Feb Xiaomi Mi5 launch, Lei Jun introduced a new concept——Full NecCom 3.0, so what's new compared to the former 1.0 and 2.0, let me introduce them in order.

Full Netcom 1.0

The earliest Full Netcom is the 1.0 edition. For those dual cards dual standby phones, sim card of China Telecom can only be used in slot 1, slot 2 supports cards from China Mobile / China Union. However, card in slot 2 can only making calls and send messages.

Full Netcom 2.0

The Full Netcom 2.0 was carried by Mi 4c last year, the dual slots have no differences which means you can use card of China Telecom in any slot, moreover, you can choose to use 4G network from any slots, and the other slot can use 2G network only. However, if both two cards are from China Telecom, one card will not be able to register.

Full Netcom 3.0

As for the Full Netcom 3.0, any slot can be set as the main card, support 4G+ / 4G / 3G / 2G of all of the three operators. When the main slot use 4G network of China Mobile / China Union, the second card can support China Union 3G VOIP at most. The main difference between 3.0 and 2.0 is that second card of Full Netcom 2.0 can only support 2G VOIP yet the Full Netcom 3.0 can support 3G VOIP and could be able to support more operators' networks.

The compatibility of networks becomes better and better and the mobile phones are more and more useful. I believe the Full Netcom 3.0 from Xiaomi will bring us a better communication experience!
