Chinese smartphone giant, Xiaomi is soon going to kick start the production of its upcoming new Xiaomi Mi6. The same is going to be showcased by the company at MWC this year. The phone will be having three variants; Premier, Standard, and Youth, with variation in price. However, customers can avail these new models post mid-March.
The Xiaomi Mi6 Pro is expected to be top end model in the series with a ceramic body. It is expected to pack OLED QHD display and dual-curved design. It will be powered by the Qualcomm SoC, 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 835 paired with 6GB RAM. The device will also have a dual camera setup and 256GB of internal storage.
Though Standard models will have the similar characteristics as Premier models but will not carry ceramic body gloss. Internal memory storage capacity is also half as that of Premier models, 128 GB coupled with 4 GB of RAM. On the other hand, being priced at $294, Youth versions will be most affordable ones. It will work on Helio X30 SoC platform. Internal memory storage capacity will be 64 GB which will be coupled with 4 GB RAM.
Pricing for the three models has been revealed, the Mi6 Premier could be priced at $437, while the Standard variant could cost $364 and customers would have to pay about $294 for the Youth version.
Besides, Xiaomi has recently launched its Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 in the Indian smartphone market on January 19, in an event at New Delhi. The USP of the Redmi Note 4 is its metal build case with deca-core SoC, though the company has planned to launch another variant in the country, may be Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Pro or Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X.
